It’s nearly time for our Open Days here at The Sheffield Sixth Form. Over the next few months, you can come along to one of our Open Days to find out more about becoming a student here.

This year, our Open Days are taking place on:

-          Thursday 22^nd October 2026

-          Wednesday 11^th November 2026

-          Thursday 14^th January 2027

-          Thursday 11^th February 2027

We have plenty of possibilities for you to kick-start your career path, whether you’re interested in academic or vocational A Levels.

Here’s what you can expect when you come to one of our Open Days:

Pick up a brand-new guide for school leavers

This year, our school leavers guide has had a makeover to make it easier to keep hold of throughout your application journey. You’ll collect different cards throughout the year and add them to your College Collectables lanyard so that you can personalise the information you need. When you hand this in at enrolment, you’ll be entered into a prize draw to win one of three study packs, including a Chromebook!

We’ll also have Spot Prize cards hidden across campus on the night. Find one and you’ll win an instant prize when you hand it in.

Take part in challenges and activities

When you head into the sixth form classrooms, you’ll be able to find out more about the subjects you’re most interested in. You’ll be given the opportunity to take part in taster activities and challenges to give you a sense of the sorts of things you’ll get to do here at The Sheffield Sixth Form. Win the challenges to get put onto our leaderboard. Top the leaderboard to get invited back to our finals during our final Open Day on Thursday 11^th February 2027 to play for the top prize.

Meet our tutors and students

Our tutors will be available, ready to talk you through your chosen sector. Ask them about the sort of work you’ll be doing, the placement opportunities, entry requirements, and anything else you’d like to know before applying. Our tutors will show you all the amazing things about studying their subject here at The Sheffield Sixth Form.

You’ll also get the opportunity to meet some of our current students. They’ll be able to show you the projects they’ve been working on, and give you first-hand information about what it’s like to be a student here.

-          A refectory and coffee shop providing, food, drink, and a friendly face to students looking to fuel up throughout their day on campus

-          Exclusive common room just for sixth form students to relax and work in whilst they’re on campus
