About

The Sheffield Sixth Form sits within the heart of The Sheffield College's City Campus. Putting students first in everything that we do, we have created a dedicated learning space for students wishing to study A Levels in Sheffield city centre.

A Levels are level 3 qualifications that are studied across two years. If you're thinking about going to university, most higher education courses require specific A Levels or combinations of A Levels (or alternative level 3 qualifications).

At the Sixth Form we have 22 A Level courses to choose from, as well as six A Level pathways that will help you choose the best subject combinations for your career and next steps, whether that's university, further study, training or work. The pathways are all underpinned by an employability focus, with particular university or career destinations in mind. Our A Levels include a range of both academic and vocational qualifications so you can choose any combination of subjects you enjoy and keep your future options open..

All of our students are supported by our expert staff to succeed in their ambitions on their course, whether that is progression to university or straight into employment.

Our A Levels are specifically designed to provide students with a fantastic learning experience, and include:

  • trips to universities

  • support with university and job applications

  • visits to the workplace

  • study skills, including referencing, essay writing, etc.
